About Marcus

Marcus was born in Congo, Africa in 1952 while his father was working there. In 1967 he and his family moved back to Belgium where his father opened a Real Estate Agency.
Marcus is married and has 2 wonderful boys.
When Marcus finished his studies and his military service, he began his venture into Real Estate work.  In 1979 he opened a new Real Estate Company in Brussels with his father.  With the “boom” of the nineties, he opened 2 new agencies in Brussels.
In 1992, he discovered Costa Rica and he fell completely in love with this amazing country with its climate, fauna, beaches and its people. In the beginning he went several times per year to Costa Rica on vacation.
In 1998, he decided to sell his Real Estate agencies in Belgium in order to invest his heart and soul in Costa Rica.
In January 2005 his youngest boy  Gilles studied in The Country Day School and Marcus joined a Real Estate Company in Tamarindo.
Meanwhile he also invested in properties and independently developed them with special attention to preserving the ecosystem and beauty of the land.
Marcus can provide you with 25 years of experience in Real Estate and speaks French, some Dutch, English and Spanish.
